Welcome to the ECHO Asia Regional Office!

Since opening in early 2009, the ECHO Asia Regional Office has been involved in various services and activities including:

• The development of office quarters and a small resource library on the grounds of McCormick Hospital in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
• Implementation of the 2009 ECHO Asia Agricultural Conference which was attended by 155 persons from approximately 15 countries.
• Consulting engagements in Burma, Thailand, Cambodia and NE India for partners such as Floresta and CRWRC.
• Frequent technical response assistance for regional partners.
• The establishment of the new seed bank.
• With several hundred recipients (and growing), thus far three issues of ECHO Asia notes (the Asian EDN supplement which is being translated into three regional languages; Thai, Khmer and Burmese) have been produced and distributed.
